Project Graduation FAQ

What is Panther Celebration?

Panther Celebration is an all-night drug-free and alcohol-free party for all Pflugerville High School graduating seniors on graduation night. It is designed to give high school graduates a safe alternative to celebrating their special night.  Statistics have shown that students celebrating on the evening of graduation can experience one of the most dangerous nights of their young lives.

Who is sponsoring Panther Celebration?

Panther Celebration,  is sponsored by PHS Panther Celebration, a non-profit, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization.  We do not receive any funding from the school or the district’s budget. This event is 100% donation and volunteer based, and is largely dependent upon a strong partnership between business and community leaders, parents, law enforcement, and school officials.

When and where is the event?

The dates for graduation are still TBD. This will be updated with the time when those dates have been announced by the school district. Seniors must arrive at the celebration location at a time TBDm to check-in (with photo ID) for the evening’s festivities. The event will most likely be at Pflugerville High School. We're bringing in all kinds of games, food and even a hypnotist for a full night of fun! More details to come!  PG-22 is a “lock-in” type event.

What activities & food will be there?

There will be all kinds of activities and games planned, and the always amazing hypnotist! Food will be brought in from different restaurants. Every attending senior is guaranteed a parting gift and will also be eligible to win other fabulous prizes!

How do seniors sign up? What can they bring the night of event? Who chaperones?

Graduating seniors and at least one parent must BOTH sign a completed PG-22 Release of Liability/Permission Form.  Permission forms must be turned in by TBD.  Cell phones/cameras are allowed at the event. No backpacks, purses or drink containers may be brought in. (Bathrooms will be stocked with necessities.) Hired security guards and PHS parent volunteers oversee students during the event.
